Maison Montlaur
This beautiful house is located in the quaint village that bears its name, Montlaur. Though recently renovated, the house still offers that old world charm, and is an excellent retreat for family and friends.
Montlaur is a small village located in the Languedoc region of France. The village has wonderful bakeriers, butchers, flower shops, and restaurants that serve local cuisine.
Maison Montlaur is the ideal retreat for a holiday in France!
The House
The house is comprised of 5 bedrooms, therefore easily accommodating up to 12 people without a problem.
From the working fireplace in the large living area, ideal for nestling next to loved ones during the cold ones, to the outdoor swimming to provide that coolness that one requires from the warm French summer sun, the house offers it all year round.
The large enclosed garden area is perfect for sitting out, taking in the sun reading your favorite French author and sipping your coffee.

The Region
The village of Minerve was a strategic Cathars point and an important stopover for the pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostella in Spain during the Medieval times. It was also the home of Simon de Montfort.
Fontfroide's Abbey, one of the France's most visited Abbeys is located just 25km away.
Carcassonne, the largest and best-kept Medieval Castle in all of Europe, seen in a number of International films, is a definite must for anyone staying in our area. The town of Carcassonne also deserves a visit. The Canal du Midi wanders around the town's edge. The covered market should not be missed while an eighteen-hole golf course awaits the real afficionados.
