Muzac
Nestled between the mounds of the Central Massif Mountains, the Dordogne Valley and the Lot region is the State of Correze. Muzac is located twenty km from Brive la Gaillarde, north of Toulouse.
Muzac is situated in one of the most beautiful part of France. Surrounded by green trees and hills and beautiful stone houses. The regional food is exquisite and is best accompanied by one of the numerous very fruity local wines. The town of Cahors and it’s world renowned wines is nearby.
The House
Muzac is at first sight a commoner's castle, a very quaint residence constructed from local stone which is extremely well decorated inside (the owner is an interior decorator). The four by twelve metre pool is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
The French garden while not as grand or vast as that of Versailles, is nonetheless very beautiful. The view from the house is breathtaking, you can see for tens of kilometres out across the local area. On a clear day the owner claims that one can see as far as eighty kilometres away!
The maximum number of guests that can be accommodated at Muzac is six people. The house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, one shower and two toilets.Amenities

The Region
The closest Castle from Martel is located less than 10km away at Turenne. It once belonged to the Vicomte of Turenne who one day said something negative about the King of France, who disliking what he heard sent his army and destroyed the castle. While staying in Martel it's a must-see. The ruins of the castle are quite imposing. There are plenty of other monuments and many castles in the area to visit.
More about the region
It's rich history, folklore and the variety of he landscapes, and the savoir-faire of its people, make Correze an exceptional place to visit again and again.
Correze gave France three Popes in Avignon, when Avignon was the centre of the Catholic Church, before it returned and stayed back in Rome.
It also gave France various and famous Viscounts, such as Turenne, Noailles and Ventadour, and the current French President of the 5th Republic, Jacques Chirac. All along, Correze has retained its history, culture and ancestral values, creating something for its people to preserve in all its richness.
